Like the Castle of Peñíscola, the rest of the old city rises on the remains of the disappeared Arab citadel.
Over time, the city was delimited by the construction of the walls, built in three different periods (medieval, Renaissance, and eighteenth century).
The old town of Peñíscola is full of bars, shops, and many interesting corners.
It is worthwhile to let yourself get lost and walk around the entire old town to discover the charm of this beautiful city.
